PM Modi slams Congress in Arunachal Pradesh; says 'They ignored Northeast and only ran govt from Delhi'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his Arunachal Pradesh visit, criticised Congress for neglecting the Northeast and imposing heavy taxes. He laid foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 5,127 crore in Itanagar, highlighting BJP’s focus on regional development, last-mile connectivity, and increased ministerial engagement.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday was in Arunachal Pradesh to lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs. 5,127 crores. While addressing the public on Monday, PM Modi attacked the Congress party for "ignoring the northeast region" and imposing heavy tax burdens on the people while being in power.

The Prime Minister said that the Congress-led government had ignored the Northeast, as the region does not have many parliamentary seats to contest and win.
