94.3 Radio One has been awarded the Gold for the best public service campaign at the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) Corporate Collateral Awards 2010 held in Delhi on April 3 The award was received by Vineet Singh Hukmani, managing director, Radio One, at the function held at the Indian Habitat Centre. Manishankar Aiyar -- Advisor to the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies &amp; Training and former Union Minister of Petroleum &amp; Natural Gas -- and Joginder Singh, ex-director of CBI, were present among other key dignitaries. 94.3 Radio One is the only media company to win an award at the Corporate Collateral Awards this year for its Let's Pool initiative, which encouraged car pooling. There were over 100 entries from across India under various categories, from both public and private sectors. Coca Cola, Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, Kingfisher and IDBI bank also figured in this year's winners' list. The awards are an important initiative of the PRCI and were conducted with a global outlook for the first time at the meet in Delhi. The PRCI Corporate Collateral Awards are given to recognise the outstanding contributions made by corporate and other institutions to the corporate world and to society at large. Speaking on the occasion, Shyju Varkey, National Marketing Head, 94.3 Radio One, said "We are extremely happy that we won the award.u00a0 Let's Pool is a powerful initiative because of its sheer simplicity in addressing the critical problem of traffic congestion in a city like Bangalore.u00a0 The least one can do when involved with a powerful medium like radio is to lead the way and disseminate effective solutions."
