Some districts of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/maharashtra-articles" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Maharashtra</a>'s Marathwada region might get showers over the next 48 hours and see a dip in winter temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius, an official said on Friday.
The change in weather is due to easterlies and westerlies, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada University meteorologist KK Dakhore said.
"Rainfall is likely in Aurangabad on Saturday, and in Jalna and Nanded on Sunday. The minimum temperatures in Marathwada region might dip by 2-3 degrees Celsius," he said.
<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/aurangabad-articles" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Aurangabad</a> and nearby districts have seen drizzles in the past two days.
According to the meteorological department, light rains are expected at several places in Rajasthan in the next 24 hours. Hailstorm has also been predicted at some places.
Severe cold conditions continue in the arid state where the minimum temperature in Fatehpur (Sikar) was recorded at minus 2.3 degrees Celsius last night.

The night temperature stood at minus 0.5 degree Celsius in Churu, 1.9 degrees in Bikaner, 2.7 degrees in Pilani, 2 degrees in Sangaria in Hanumangarh, 2 degrees in Karauli, 2.8 degrees in Phalodi in Jodhpur and 3.8 degrees in Tonk' Vanasthali.
Cold wave too, is likely to continue for the next 24 hours.
The minimum temperature is likely to increase by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius due to a western disturbance from January 28.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, Delhi witnessed a clear sky on Friday morning even as the minimum temperature settled three degrees below normal at 5.8 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department.
The national capital recorded 80 per cent relative humidity at around 8:30 pm.
The city has not recorded any rainfall this winter season so far. The meteorological department attributed it to the lack of strong western disturbances in November and December.
The national capital logged eight cold wave days in January this year, the most in the month in 15 years. It saw seven cold wave days in January 2020 while it did not record any such day last year.&nbsp;
