Taking a dig at supporters and other political leaders who were constantly facing camera while participating on several discussions on Lokpal, Hazare said that he could work for the nation even by choosing to remain out of the media glare.

Hazare added the Lokpal bill is a strong move to curb corruption. For the last two years, the public was fighting for a Lokpal and in the last one year, the bill has been pending in the Rajya Sabha without any discussion. While thanking the Congress and the BJP for their aggressive stand on Lokpal to get it passed in both houses of Parliament, Hazare said he would constitute a committee consisting of retired judges and police officers right at the state level to ensure effective implementation of the act.
