British space scientists have designed a spacecraft capable of saving the world from a catastrophic <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space/6110022/Scientists-design-spacecraft-to-save-Earth.html">asteroid collision</a>. In fact, this idea has been <a href="http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/11/1109_051109_asteroid_tug.html">suggested</a> earlier. By the way, in 2003, it was said that an asteroid called <a href="http://united-states-of-earth.com/article.asp?MenuID=821">2003 QQ47</a> which has a mass of around 2.6 billion tonnes and is 1.2 kilometres wide, may hit Earth on March 21 2014, unleashing a force that is eight million times more powerful than the atomic bomb dropped over Hiroshima in 1945.
