Six Maharashtra IAS officers transferred

The Maharashtra government today transferred six bureaucrats including IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe against whom a no-confidence motion was moved in 2016 during his stint as the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) commissioner.
The 2005 batch IAS officer, currently serving as Chairman and Managing Director, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd, has been posted as Nashik Municipal Corporation Commissioner, an official from the General Administration Department (GAD) said. Mundhe will replace Abhishek Krishna, an IAS officer of 2006 batch, who is current Nashik civic chief. Krishna will take charge as Joint Chief Executive Officer, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Mumbai. K V Kurundkar, a 2002 batch IAS officer, has been posted as Secretary, Agriculture and Agriculture Development Fund (ADF) Department, Mantralaya. He was currently posted as Joint Managing Director, Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).
