The next time you read this column, the new Prime Minister would’ve taken charge. The ministers would’ve also taken oath. I wish it would’ve happened sooner, as, at least, it would put a stop to all speculation about how the ministry would be. A small, sub-40-member ministry? A ministry with no one older than the near-64-year-old Prime Minister? A ministry with various departments to facilitate synergies?

If you watch any of the channels tonight or tomorrow, expect loads of theories. But, given Narendra Modi’s past, I am sure the final list of names would be kept very, very close to the “56-inch chest.”
