We don't need state approval: Pune builder on controversial housing project

Maple Shelters, the Pune-based real estate developer which has run into trouble with the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) for its unapproved project of 10,000 houses at Rs 5 lakh each under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), on Tuesday claimed that it doesn’t need the state government’s permission for it.

“We do not need permission from the government to carry out this project,” said Sachin Agarwal, CMD of Maple Shelters.
