In the wake of the Ahmedabad Place Crash, which has severely impacted air travel in and out of the city, the Western Railway (WR) has stepped in to provide crucial alternative transport options by launching two Superfast Special Trains connecting Ahmedabad with Mumbai and Delhi.

The move comes as authorities work to manage the surge in passenger demand and restore mobility for those stranded or rerouting owing to flight disruptions.

According to Vineet Abhishek, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the special trains are being introduced on a special fare basis to ensure connectivity with two of the country’s busiest metropolitan hubs.
