Amid the extremely concerning situation in Afghanistan under the Taliban administration, a 13-year-old Afghan boy's "curiosity" brought him to Delhi from Afghanistan. A 13-year-old kid who was furious to get out of the country did something that cannot be considered less than a miracle.
As reported by news agency PTI, the young kid from Afghanistan somehow managed to get inside the landing gear compartment of an aircraft that took off from Kabul, official sources said on Monday.
Miraculously, the kid even got off safely when the Delhi-bound flight from Kabul landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday, 21 September 2025.
The incident was reported around 11 am on Sunday when KAM Airlines flight number RQ-4401 reached the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport after a 2-hour-long journey, as per PTI.
Sources, however, confirmed that the teenager was soon sent back to Afghanistan on Sunday itself, on the same flight.
Addressing the situation, officials said, “The airline authorities reported to the airport security control room about a 13-year-old boy who was found roaming near the flight after it touched down,” as cited by news agency PTI.
The boy, a native of Kunduz city, was apprehended by the airline personnel and handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force personnel, who brought him to Terminal 3 of the airport for questioning.
As reported by news agency PTI, the 13-year-old boy told the officials that he sneaked into the Kabul airport and somehow managed to get inside the rear central landing gear compartment of the said aircraft. The kid further asserted that he did this out of curiosity, PTI reported.
After being asked several questions by the official at the airport, the Afghan boy was sent back by the same flight that departed around 12:30 pm, officials asserted.
Moreover, the security officials of the KAM airline also carried out a security check of the landing gear compartment and found a small red-coloured speaker, apparently carried by this boy.
The officials further emphasised that “The Kabul-Delhi flight was declared safe after a thorough inspection and anti-sabotage checks,” as per PTI.
