Metro stations bore a deserted look and ticket counters remained empty from 8.30 am to 4 pm as the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety carried out a statutory safety inspection on the 11.4-km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar corridor

The inspection was in connection with the proposed increase of the Metro trainsu00e2u0080u0099 maximum speed of 50 kmph to 80 kmph

The road below the corridor where the mock drill was conducted was closed to traffic for a few minutes and officials from the local police station were also present for the drill
