Gautam Adani said the group’s main focus will be on green energy, smart meters, hydropower, pumped storage, power transmission, roads and highways, digital infrastructure, logistics, and capacity building through skilling and vocational training centres. He stressed that the investment will prioritise people alongside infrastructure
He further emphasised that each initiative will focus on creating local jobs, supporting entrepreneurship, and ensuring active community involvement
Since 2014, the Adani Group has invested Rs 6.2 lakh crore in the Northeastern states. Adani highlighted the region’s significant transformation, including the expansion of the road network to 16,000 km and an increase in the number of airports to 18
Gautam Adani also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the Northeast, stating that the region's growth is driven by the vision of a leader who saw no borders, only new beginnings. He further emphasised that the Prime Minister's call to "Act East, Act Fast, Act First" acted as a wake-up call for the region’s development
He further highlighted that the Guwahati Airport, managed by the Adani Group, recently recorded 3.26 million domestic arrivals and 3.30 million domestic departures, reflecting a significant boost in connectivity and passenger traffic
Union Minister for Communications and Development of the Northeastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, highlighted the region’s transformation over the past decade under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He recalled that the Northeast once had only nine airports, with two states completely lacking air connectivity
