The Amrit Stations have been inaugurated in Maharashtra at Amgaon, Chanda Fort, Chinchpokli, Devlali, Dhule, Kedgaon, Lasalgaon, Lonand Junction, Matunga, Murtizapur Junction, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari Junction, Parel, Savda, Shahad, and Wadala Road
The railways has undertaken the redevelopment of 1,300 stations across the country under the scheme
The first batch of 103 railway stations under the scheme was inaugurated by PM Modi on Thursday
Every station is being redeveloped by using the local architectural designs as much as possible
Earlier, PM Modi travelled to Rajasthan's Bikaner to lay the foundation stone for multiple projects worth over Rs 26,000 crore
There, he virtually inaugurated the 103 redeveloped stations across 86 districts in 18 states and Union Territories
Along with Maharashtra, railway stations in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat were also inaugurated
