Relentless rainfall has worsened the flood situation across Assam, claiming 31 lives and affecting more than 5.65 lakh people across 12 districts. Rescue teams, including the Army, NDRF and SDRF, continue evacuation operations as rivers flow above danger levels. According to the authority's daily flood report issued at midnight on Tuesday, more than 5,64,600 people have been affected in Biswanath, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup Metropolitan, Karbi Anglong, Nagaon, Sivasagar, and Tinsukia districts
