IMD on Sunday had warned parts of Jabalpur about heavy rains. The civic authorities in the city have also urged the citizens to stay away from the water bodies

Following the concerning situation, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday said the safety of people, their property and livestock remained the government's top priority

The state government and local administration are closely monitoring the situation, particularly in areas along the Narmada and other rivers, and are taking necessary measures to deal with any further rise in water levels
