Following the meeting with Wangchuk, Atishi expressed concern over his declining health but praised his determination to continue the protest

Atishi, while taking it to social media handle X, wrote, "Today I met Sonam Wangchuk ji at Jantar Mantar. Even though his health is deteriorating, his spirit remains strong. He is committed to fighting for the youth of this country"

Wangchuk, known for his advocacy on environmental conservation and sustainable development in the Himalayan region, has been on a hunger strike to press for his demands, which include resignation from education minister Dharmendra Pradhan

Sonam Wangchuk's protest has drawn support from activists, students, political leaders and civil society groups, who have visited the protest site over the past two weeks to express solidarity

According to a health update shared by CJP, Wangchuk's blood pressure was recorded at 107/70 mm Hg. His total weight loss since the beginning of the hunger strike has reached 8.2 kg
