The Srinagar–Jammu national highway was partially reopened after heavy snowfall, as fresh snow hit Kashmir. Flights and train services in Srinagar continued to operate normally
Several parts of Kashmir, including Srinagar, received fresh snowfall early in the morning, hampering snow-clearance operations on the highway
“The Jammu–Srinagar national highway has been partially restored. Stranded vehicles between the Nashri and Navyug tunnels are being cleared on priority,” a traffic police official said
Hundreds of vehicles have been stranded along the 270-km stretch since Friday, when heavy snowfall forced the closure of the highway
Srinagar city also witnessed light snowfall during the early hours of the day. However, flight operations at the Srinagar international airport remained unaffected, with three flights having already arrived
