General Seth outlined his strategic roadmap for the Indian Army through the acronym "VIJAY," describing it as the guiding principle for building a technology-driven, future-ready force. He said the vision, inspired by the Prime Minister's guidance, would strengthen the armed forces and lead them to victory.

Explaining the first two pillars of "VIJAY," General Seth said "V" stands for Vigilance and Readiness, stressing constant preparedness against emerging threats. "I" represents Innovation and Transformation, with a focus on doctrinal reforms, technological advancements, and adapting to the changing nature of warfare.

General Seth said "J" stands for Jointness and Integration, highlighting closer coordination with the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy to enhance operational effectiveness. He added that "A" represents Aatmanirbharta, with the Army aiming to rely on indigenous technologies and defence capabilities to strengthen national security.

The Army Chief said "Y" stands for "Yoddha First" (Soldier First), emphasising that every member of the Army—from the newest Agniveer to the most senior veteran—is a warrior and the force's greatest strength. He pledged to prioritise the welfare, empowerment, and operational readiness of soldiers.

General Seth paid tribute to soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation, saying their courage and dedication would continue to inspire future generations. He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for their trust and acknowledged the leadership of his predecessor, General Upendra Dwivedi, and former Army Chiefs for shaping the Indian Army into a strong and dependable force.
