Heavy snowfall in Shimla on Friday covered the capital of Himachal Pradesh and turned it into a winter wonderland
Amid the snowfall, tourists have begun arriving in large numbers following the season's first heavy snowfall, which continues intermittently in the region
The IMD further said that mid-hill stations witnessed a fall of 2 to 6 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours, along with parts of Himachal Pradesh experiencing heavy snowfall
The fresh snowfall has not only boosted tourist footfall in Shimla but has also enhanced the winter charm of the cold hill town, making it a memorable experience for visitors
Amid the snowfall, IMD also reported thunderstorms at isolated places, including Sundernagar, Kangra, Shimla, Murari Devi, and Jubbarhatti
While the weather looks quite beautiful, IMD has advised residents and tourists to remain cautious, especially in higher reaches and wind-prone areas, due to snowfall, gusty winds, and changing weather conditions
