Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived at Parliament House right as voting started at 10 a.m., was the first person to cast his vote. The counting of votes is set to happen at 6 p.m. in the same room where the voting took place.
Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha also cast his vote during the Vice-Presidential election process.

Opposition MP Jaya Bachchan was among the leaders who cast their votes on Tuesday for the election of the Vice President.
Jailed Baramulla MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, alias Engineer Rashid, received special permission from the court to allow him to cast his vote for the Vice-Presidential election.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also cast his vote in the Vice-Presidential elections, at the Parliament premises in New Delhi.
