PM Modi visited Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital to express gratitude to doctors, nurses and others who helped India cross the 100 crore Covid-19 vaccination mark.

He interacted with the health workers and also gave a thumbs up to the health workers at the hospital.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, 'India scripts history. We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Congrats India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses and all those who worked to achieve this feat. #VaccineCentury.'

Modi further said, 'Today is a historic day as India has crossed the 100 crore vaccine dose mark. To counter the largest pandemic in 100 years, the country now has a strong protective shield of 100 crore vaccine doses. This achievement belongs to India and its citizens.'

According to Co-WIN portal data, over 71 crore vaccine doses were administered as the first dose and over 29 crore as the second dose.

More than 75 per cent of India's adult population has received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, with nine states and union territories administering the first dose to all eligible people.
