She also said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, around four crore houses have been given to the poor, and tap water has been provided to 15 crore families across the country
While addressing the media, Smriti Irani said that uplifting people from multidimensional poverty has been a key commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As a result of this effort, 25 crore citizens in India have successfully risen out of multidimensional poverty and are now moving steadily towards a better and more prosperous life
She further added that the BJP operates on five core principles: nationalism, belief in democracy, Gandhian ideals for the poor and marginalised, equality of all religions, and value-based politics
Irani further highlighted that approximately 12 crore LPG connections have been distributed under the Ujjwala Yojana, and an equal number of toilets have been constructed across the country in the last 11 years
Smriti Irani emphasised the broad societal representation within the Modi cabinet, stating that over 60 percent of the ministers are from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) communities
Smriti Irani stated that two significant actions taken by PM Modi which include the abrogation of Article 370 and the inauguration of the Chenab bridge. She noted that Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah recently acknowledged that PM Modi fulfilled Atal Bihari Vajpayee's dream by inaugurating the Chenab bridge
