After the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash involving Air India, the government has ordered a detailed inspection of all Boeing 787 aircraft operating in India. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu confirmed that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has begun extended surveillance of the Boeing 787 fleet. Out of 34 such aircraft in India, 8 have already been inspected, and urgent checks are underway for the rest. This step comes amid growing concerns about passenger safety following the crash.
