Emergency responders worked quickly to free one person who was trapped inside one of the planes. Meanwhile, three other injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities have not yet released further details about the crash, and it is unclear what caused the Learjet to skid off the runway. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed it is investigating the incident. This crash adds to growing concerns over air safety in the U.S. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is already investigating several recent deadly crashes. These include a midair collision in Washington, D.C. that killed 67 people, a medical jet crash in Philadelphia that claimed seven lives, and a plane crash in Alaska that resulted in the deaths of ten people.
