A deadly plane crash occurred on 10th February at the Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona, leaving at least one person dead. The crash happened when a midsize business jet, a Learjet 35A, skidded off the runway while attempting to land. The jet then collided with a Gulfstream 200 that was parked on the tarmac. According to Dave Folio, a spokesperson for the Scottsdale Fire Department and Kelli Kuester, Aviation Planning and Outreach Coordinator, at least four people were injured in the incident. Emergency responders worked quickly to free one person who was trapped inside one of the planes. Meanwhile, three other injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities have not yet released further details about the crash, and it is unclear what caused the Learjet to skid off the runway. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed it is investigating the incident. This crash adds to growing concerns over air safety in the U.S. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is already investigating several recent deadly crashes. These include a midair collision in Washington, D.C. that killed 67 people, a medical jet crash in Philadelphia that claimed seven lives, and a plane crash in Alaska that resulted in the deaths of ten people. The Scottsdale crash is just the latest in a series of aviation accidents under investigation, raising questions about safety in the skies.
