At SDRF Headquarters in Srinagar, a twelve-day disaster management training program was initiated for `Aapda Mitra` volunteers. It was initiated by the Department of Disaster Management and the Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The event was part of the `Up-Scaling of Aapda Mitra Scheme`. The objective of the program is to train the Aapda Mitra volunteers for disaster management so that their services could be utilized in any disaster or tragedy in their respective areas. The program was organized for 50 volunteers of North Kashmir.
