The Supreme Court today stayed the execution of four aides of Sandalwood bandit Veerappan till Wednesday. The four men were sentenced to death for killing 22 policemen and others in a landmine blast in Karnataka in Palar. President Pranab Mukherjee rejected their mercy petitions last week.
