Kolkata is hosting India’s first G20 ‘Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion’ meeting, from January 9-11. Representatives from 19 countries arrived in the city. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also attended the meeting. It focused on the principles of digital financial inclusion, remittance costs and SME finance availability. The three-day event also includes symposiums, exhibitions and outreach programs.
