TRT World, a Turkish news channel, and Global Times, a Chinese state-run media outlet, are now accessible again in India. The Indian government had briefly blocked both accounts due to concerns about spreading false information during recent tensions between India and Pakistan. On May 14, users trying to visit these accounts saw a message stating they were "withheld" in India because of legal action. This followed reports that Pakistan used Turkish drones in attacks on both civilian and military targets in India. The drones were reportedly made by a Turkish company named Asisguard. Turkey’s support for Pakistan led to public anger in India, with many calling for a boycott of Turkish products under a “Ban Turkey” campaign. The ban on TRT World came shortly after a similar block on Global Times, which is known for promoting Chinese government views.
