In a landmark for India’s space sector, ISRO launched India’s first ever privately developed rocket, Vikram S from Sriharikota at 11: 00 AM on Friday. In a bid to symbolise a new start, the mission has been named `Prarambh`, which literally translates as “beginning”. The rocket - developed by Skyroot Aerospace - has been named after Vikram Sarabhai, hailed as the father of India`s space sector.
