A powerful desert storm swept through Jaisalmer late on the night of 24 May, unleashing intense winds and thick clouds of sand that engulfed the city by morning. Visibility dropped to just a few feet as the storm raged through the night, transforming the Golden City into a ghostly blur. Residents awoke to an eerie scene—homes cloaked in dust, skies darkened and silence broken only by the howling wind. “The sun had disappeared. Everything looked grey and blurred,” said one local. Although temperatures dropped slightly, daily life came to a halt as the city struggled under the onslaught of nature. Watch video for more.
