A day after the #Karnataka #HighCourt pronounced its verdict on the hijab ban, the schools and colleges reopened in #Udupi on Wednesday. Earlier on Tuesday, the Karnataka High Court dismissed all petitions filed by Muslim girls seeking permission to wear hijab in educational institutions and ruled that hijab does not form a part of essential religious practices in Islamic faith. After the HC pronounced its verdict, a Muslim student approached the #SupremeCourt against the order.
