TMC leaders including Mahua Moitra were detained after sitting on dharna at Krishi Bhawan. The Trinamool Congress had scheduled a meeting with the minister at the Krishi Bhavan, regarding the party`s demand to release funds to West Bengal under the MGNREGA. Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Tuesday claimed that she waited for Trinamool Congress MPs in her office for over two hours. However, Trinamool Congress leaders claimed that Union minister had given them an appointment but did not meet them. The TMC delegation then sat on dharna, saying they won’t leave without meeting the minister. After some time, the delegation was forcibly removed from the site and detained.
