Madhya Pradesh Congress leader and MLA Jaivardhan Singh staged a protest demanding the resignation of state cabinet minister Kunwar Vijay Shah over his controversial remark about Colonel Sofiya Qureshi. The protest was held outside the Raj Bhavan in Bhopal after Congress leaders met with the Governor. Jaivardhan Singh called the minister`s remark “shameful” and said a mere apology was not enough. He added that if the BJP respects the Armed Forces, they should remove Shah from his position immediately. For context, Kunwar Vijay Shah had made an objectionable comment about Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, which sparked public outrage.
