PM Modi is in Egypt at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Today, on June 25th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met El-Sisi in Cairo and had a discussion on a wide range of issues to bolster India-Egypt ties. PM Modi and the Egyptian President signed MoU post the talks. Earlier, PM Modi visited Al-Hakim Mosque and paid tribute to Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I at the Heliopolis War Grave cemetery. PM Modi is on a two-day state visit to Egypt starting from June 24. He was welcomed by Egyptian Counterpart PM Mostafa Madbouly and inspected the Guard of Honour upon his arrival.
