The makers of the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ came forward against the decision of the Tamil Nadu and West Bengal Governments to ban the film in the state. While talking to the media in Mumbai on May 08, Vipul Shah, the producer of the movie, said that they will seek legal remedies against both the state government’s decision. “In Tamil Nadu, one individual man is opposing the film and warning the people. People of Tamil Nadu are not able to watch the movie because of one man. I request the Tamil Nadu Government to release this movie tomorrow morning. Madras High Court dismissed the plea to ban the film in the state. Supreme Court dismissed pleas three times. Even Kerala High Court didn’t ban our movie. Even after that Police are not giving protection to theatres and the government is not taking any action,” said Vipul Shah. While reacting to the decision of the West Bengal Government to ban the movie, Vipul Shah said, “If that is what she has done, we will take legal action. Whatever is possible under the provisions of law, we will fight.”
