Amid the ongoing US-Iran war, a third vessel carrying Indian seafarers has come under attack in just four days, raising serious concerns about maritime security in the Gulf region. The latest incident involved MV Jalveer, a Guinea-Bissau-flagged tanker operating near Oman's Shinas port. Authorities confirmed that all 20 Indian crew members on board were safely evacuated following the attack. The development comes shortly after the deadly strike on tanker Settebello, which claimed the lives of three Indian seafarers, and the earlier attack on MT Marivex. With three vessels linked to Indian crews targeted within days, fears are growing over the safety of commercial shipping routes in the Gulf of Oman.
