Oscars 2023: Showcasing love, care and emotion in bond between humans and a pair of elephants, understanding their family dynamics is what director Kartiki Gonsalves wanted to portray through her Netflix documentary short film, `The Elephant Whisperers`. It is based on the real life story of couple living in Theppakadu Elephant camp within the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve of Tamil Nadu who devoted their life to parenting orphaned elephants.
