21 cases of sexual abuse during UN missions in 2nd quarter

Just a few days after an Indian peacekeeper was accused of sexual misconduct in Democratic Republic of Congo, United Nations is finding itself embroiled in 21 allegations of sexual abuse during its field missions in second quarter of this year.
Just a few days after an Indian peacekeeper was accused of sexual misconduct in Democratic Republic of Congo, United Nations is finding itself embroiled in 21 allegations of sexual abuse during its field missions in second quarter of this year.
Out of these 21 cases, eight charges concern minors, Departments of Peacekeeping Operations and Field Support at the UN have said. In the first three months of 2010, 24 such allegations were made, in which 10 accusations involved minors.
