Afghan forces retake Kunduz from Taliban

Kabul: Afghan security forces backed by the air power recaptured Kunduz city and evicted Taliban militants from there on Thursday, an official said.

All parts of the city have been recaptured from militants and clean-up operations have been continuing in all parts of the city to search for insurgents, Xinhua quoted Khalid Amiri, an army commander in the province, as saying.
