Everyone dreams of a stable career, but this one in particular isn’t your ordinary type. Paul Oldfield was just a regular old guy in the UK practising yoga until one day he stumbled upon a skill that’d land him a spot on Guinness World Records. Discovering his ability to inhale through his anus controlling his gas output, Paul took to practising his newly obtained skill meticulously.

After making his iconic — or rather breathtaking — appearances on shows like Britain’s Got Talent, Paul (now going by Mr Methane) began capitalising on his unique skill, making that his zeal, drive, and ambition. Dating back to his ye olde high school days in the 1980s, Paul has been turning his fart into art for decades, making him the longest performing flatulist in the world!

Decked out in his superhero suit, Mr Methane flatulently renders songs like Blue Danube and Another One Bites the Dust by Queen to the beat. Despite being tagged with the label “disgusting creature”, Mr Methane remains undeterred and ever-composed, setting the perfect example of persistence and a hint of shamelessness, making him rightfully worthy of his spot on Guinness World Records. So the next time you want to let it out in public, just know that Mr Methane would be nodding with enthusiastic approval.

Just do it!

Age is truly “just a number”

At the mere age of three, Caleb Stewart began his journey, impacting people with his well-articulated communication. Earning the title of “Master” in reading when he was two years old, Caleb firmly believes in the importance of reading as emphasised in his speeches. Now, at age 11, Caleb works to make reading accessible to everyone by hosting book pop-ups and speaking at elementary schools, inspiring kids his age to pick up a book and read! With a clear ambition of working in education when he grows up, Caleb’s impact is nothing short of impressive, reminding us that age is just a number, not  defining our competencies.

Me-Ow!

Little kitty may have caused some massive damage. A UK man suffered car-crash-level injuries after tripping over his cat. The paramedics revealed he had a fractured skull and broken neck, nine broken ribs, and two fractures in the spine. It would’ve been a really funny way to die though.

The big reveal

At 30,000 ft above the ground, this young couple threw a historical gender reveal celebration to a flight full of strangers. The cabin was filled with excitement as the couple scooped up the cake with a glass, revealing the blue frosting. It’s a BOY!

A psychic and Japanese graphic artist presented her vision of a major disaster to occur in the summer of 2025, sparking panic and cancellations. Outlined in her 2021 release, The Future I Saw, she predicts a disaster to occur on July 5 2025. Is doomsday upon us all?

Holy WHAT Now?

There’s nothing quite unique about a braggy trend from time to time, but this one impels us to drop everything and go get that airball moment for ourselves. The term “Airball” is basketball lingo for a shot so bad it misses the basket entirely. Such a video starts with a statement like: “told him/her I like to drive”, followed by an extremely famous F1 driver going ‘holy f*****g airball’, revealing what they’re truly capable of. It’s a way to brag about your achievements, and to that we say, “You go girl!” If you love beating those loser allegations and proving the masses wrong, this trend is for you.

A ray of hope

Maybe our generation is not all that dystopian. Gratitude is taking the spotlight, and it’s (hopefully) not uncool anymore. The millennials have taken the Internet by storm, talking about the sweet post-hangout texts bringing back small — but — meaningful gestures. Some may call it cringeworthy, but to be cringe is to be free.
