Pakistan has arrested 124 people in a crackdown on Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which has beenu00a0 accused of masterminding the Mumbai attacks, Interior Ministry chief Rehman Malik announced yesterday. He added that the information India has handed over still needs work before it can be used as evidence in court. Malik said apart from arresting leaders from LeT and it's related "charity" Jamat-ud-Dawa, authorities had also taken steps against 20 offices, 87 schools, two libraries, seven religious schools and a handful of other organisations and Websites related to the groups. He added that several relief camps of the charity, some of which have been alleged to be militant training grounds, were also shut down. It was unclear exactly how many people remained in custody. But Malik indicated that many may now simply be under surveillance.
