Kentucky: Softball practice, cool field trips and excited kids: These seem like the ingredients to any typical summer camp. But this inspiring softball camp is anything but typical.

Every year, 20 kids from across the country are selected to participate in the week-long Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team’s Kids Camp in Louisville, which gives kids with amputations a chance to play softball. The kids are coached by members of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team, military members who have lost limbs themselves. They aim to impart their inspiring motto, ‘Life Without a Limb is Limitless,’ onto the eager campers.
