Emergency responders transported dozens of injured people to nearby hospitals after the fire. According to officials, 63 people were injured in the incident, with 22 remaining in critical condition as authorities continued rescue and medical efforts.

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited the scene in the early hours of Monday and said that most victims are believed to have died from smoke inhalation. Officials said toxic smoke spread rapidly inside the venue during the fire.

Authorities said only six of the 27 victims had been formally identified. Rescuers recovered several mobile phones from the scene and answered incoming calls from worried relatives and friends to help identify victims and notify their families.

Survivors told local media that thick smoke first emerged from a circuit breaker near the stage before the power suddenly went out. Moments later, an explosion was heard, and flames quickly engulfed the pub, leaving patrons trapped in darkness.

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt said the pub's ceiling was completely destroyed, while many plastic chairs remained intact, indicating that rapidly spreading toxic smoke likely caused many fatalities. The power outage may have left victims disoriented and unable to locate emergency exits.

The venue, licensed as a restaurant with live music performances, reportedly had two emergency exits. Investigators are examining whether either exit was blocked or inaccessible when the fire broke out.
