Ukrainian drones struck two oil tankers in the Sea of Azov, sparking fires and forcing crew evacuations, according to Russian officials.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the strikes on Russian infrastructure were part of Kyiv’s “long-range sanctions” in response to Moscow’s refusal to end the war.

Russian officials said drone attacks caused fires at oil storage facilities in Tver and the Stavropol region, with nearby residents evacuated as a precaution.

Kyiv’s latest strikes on oil tankers and energy facilities are aimed at disrupting fuel supplies, including routes connected to the Russian-annexed Crimean Peninsula.

Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed its air defences shot down dozens of Ukrainian drones, while Kyiv reported Russian missile and drone attacks damaged multiple locations.
