Delivering the inaugural address at the Raisina Dialogue, Italian PM Meloni shared her appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hard work in handling a complex G20 presidency and reiterated Italy’s full support. She said regional affairs rapidly turn into global affairs in today’s interconnected world and unfortunately “Europe’s problem” has become the “world’s problem”. Earlier, EAM Jaishankar had said that “Europe thinks that Europe`s problems are the world`s problems but world`s problems are not Europe`s problems. Jaishankar made these comments amid persistent efforts by Europe to make India take tough position on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
