Florida: Everglades Blaze Rages over 42,000 Acres, Becoming 2025’s Largest Wildfire

Two wildfires are burning out of control in the Florida Everglades, about 40 miles west of Miami. The larger blaze, called the Mile Marker 39 Fire, has exploded to 42,200 acres, making it the biggest wildfire in Florida this year. A second fire, the Saw Grass Fire, has burned 250 acres.
