A major diplomatic row has erupted between India and the United States after Indian seafarers were killed in a strike on the Palau-flagged tanker MT Settebello off the coast of Oman. Indian authorities confirmed that three Indian crew members who were initially reported missing have now been confirmed dead following the attack. Among those identified are deck cadet Aditya Sharma and engine fitter Shivanand Chaurasiya. The fate of Chief Engineer Patnala Suresh had initially remained uncertain before officials confirmed the deaths of all three missing Indian seafarers. The vessel was carrying 24 Indian crew members, with 21 rescued during a large-scale search and rescue operation. The incident has triggered strong reactions in New Delhi.
