Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a sharp warning to the United States, threatening a decisive response to any invasion. The IRGC spokesperson said Iran would “cut off legs” of any aggressor, escalating tensions as Washington deploys elite troops to the Middle East. Thousands of US soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division have begun arriving in the region, joining Marines, Special Operations forces and naval assets already positioned near Iran. Reports suggest these troops could be used for multiple scenarios, including a potential attempt to seize Kharg Island, the hub that handles nearly 90 percent of Iran’s oil exports.
