The West Asia faces another moment of heightened uncertainty after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for a drone strike targeting the headquarters of the United States Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. According to Iranian statements, the operation was carried out in response to what Tehran described as recent American attacks on civilian infrastructure and coastal areas in southern Iran. Iranian officials alleged that strategic locations in Jask, Sirik and Qeshm were targeted in previous attacks, prompting what they described as a retaliatory response. The IRGC claimed that Shahed-136 drones were used in the operation against the US military installation in Bahrain, one of Washington's most important naval hubs in the Gulf region. WATCH
