Iran’s leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a surprise US–Israel air strike in Tehran on 28th March. The US operation, reportedly called Operation Epic Fury, targeted Iran’s top leadership using advanced intelligence and precision weapons. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has already fired missiles and vowed its most powerful response. President Donald Trump confirmed the killing and issued a stark warning to Iran, saying any retaliation would be met with force “like they have never seen before.”
